Bio

Walt Kania is a freelance business writer who is especially good at developing content for B2B and technology companies.

He is a solid pro who has put in his 10,000 hours of keyboard time, writing for clients such as AT&T, Panasonic, Zerotech, LG, Toshiba, Avaya, Alcatel-Lucent, Wipro, Chubb Insurance as well as dozens of niche companies and entrepreneurial firms.

Track record: Since 1995 he has delivered 1,658 projects.  Only 23 of which came out lousy.

Walt is a principal writer for AT&T’s case study program and series of AT&T Profiles books, and a content consultant for speciality insurance brokerage Professional Risk Solutions.turebw

As a consulting writer to the Chubb Insurance video and training organization, he has crafted scripts for an array of marketing and corporate productions.

Previously, he was VP Creative Director of the Graywood Agency, a boutique marketing firm in New Jersey.  He fired himself to return to freelancing.

“He gets it”

Walt is widely sought after for his ability to distill complex or technical material, while tuning in to the marketing mission at hand.  “He’s one writer who always seems to nail it,” says Robin Schaffer of NICE Systems. “He hears you. The story is just, well, right.”

Says a long-time technology client, “The guy is a master untangler. Hand him a hodgepodge of raw background and he’ll come back with five pages of pure silk.  Your stuff will sound like the smartest thing since the pop-up toaster.  And it gets approved.”

He attended Boston University and Rutgers University (Botany) and works out of a converted woodworking shop in a suburb of New York.  Those are hand tools in the background.
